World Accreditation Day

June 9, marks World Accreditation Day (WAD) as a global initiative jointly established by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) and International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) to raise awareness of the importance of accreditation-related activities. The inaugural WAD was celebrated in 2008.
The theme for 2020 World Accreditation Day is “Accreditation: Adding Value to Supply Chains” and highlights the role of accreditation in adding value to supply chains. Supply chains provide a vital role in delivering products and services for consumers, business and the public sector in a timely, cost-efficient and quality manner. Supply chains are constantly evolving from complex systems crossing multiple borders to new and diverse supply chains aimed at ensuring all stakeholders’ requirements are met, including the need for ensuring sustainability and responsible supply.

Accreditation Conformity Board for Certification Bodies (ACBCB) is an independent & impartial International accreditation body providing accreditation for conformity assessment bodies in the fields of certification and inspection. It is non-profit organization. Accreditation by ACBCB demonstrates the competence and independence of accreditation system based on assessment.

ACBCB operates as per the requirements, criteria, rules and regulations laid down in the following documents:

The requirements of the international standard ISO/IEC 17011, General requirements for bodies which is providing assessments and accreditation of conformity assessment bodies.
The requirements and other benchmarks as stipulated in the Publicly Available Documents published by various international bodies and ACBCB
Legally established objects as per by laws.
ACBCB specifically require accredited conformity assessment services in the sense of Regulation (EC) No 765/2008 (9 July 2008), you should contact the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) or your countries National and International Accreditation Body
ACBCB is a trading name also registered by Government of India as non-profit organization in the capital of NCT of Delhi under Indian Trust/ Society ACT 1882.

Accreditation by an independent authority means that when you choose a certification body to review your activities you are choosing someone who has been reviewed against defined standards. You will know that they have their own documented operating system and procedures for looking after your interests.

The Board of Director has overall authority and responsibilities for policies and procedures for the operations of ACBCB. Accreditation Approval Committees make decisions concerning the granting, suspending, withdrawn and continuation of accreditation. An independent Impartiality Committee representing the broad range of stakeholders reviews and adjudicates on possible conflicts of interest.
